The lights of Richmond...

Daddy got off work early yesterday, so we hopped in the car and took a spontaneous drive to Richmond!
[And I mean spontaneous. He came home at 3:00 to a house of sleeping children and an un-showered wife. Within 45 minutes we had a showered mommy, a bathed baby,  three dressed children  snacks packed, coats donned and car loaded! With a little fun motivation we can accomplish a lot!]
Pretty little Christmas Dolly!
There isn't a whole lot of Christmas Spirit in Farmville, so we had to travel a bit to find some pretty Christmas lights to admire. We weren't sure what to expect, but ended up completely and utterly surprised at the delightful displays that can be found in the Richmond/ Midlothian area! Riley found a website that lists good houses and neighborhoods to look at, and it didn't disappoint!

With peppermint chocolate chip milkshake in hand, we got to enjoy houses like this:
Yes. Houses. As in many, many, many houses, decked out with enough lights to make even the scroogiest of hearts merry.

We pulled up to this street and cul-de-sac where every. single. house. was lit up.
The boys exclaimed, "Wow! There's too much to look at!"
[and of course the picture doesn't come close to doing it justice!]
It filled my heart with happiness to see them so excited, and I couldn't help feeling a touch giddy inside, myself!
I wish everyone had as much Christmas spirit as Midlothian!
It's just too much fun!
XO
