It's not Summer Break yet?

So, finals week is upon us. The weekend is over, and end-of-the-year tests are looming. I have to say, I am tempted to exact heaps of pity upon ourselves, proclaiming that we are in the midst of final exams, with a dramatic draping of my hand across my brow... but I must be honest. Riley's taken most of his finals already, and has only two remaining. He can fail both of them and still pass his classes, so no drama-works are required... 

Although I'm still tempted...

Because of this lovely change in pace, it feels like Summer Break has already arrived! Daddy scoots upstairs to study on occasion, but we've been enjoying lots of time wrestling, chasing, giggling, tickling, and dancing as of late. Lots of fun shenanigans all around.

We had some sweet friends come to town from Lynchburg for a visit.

Fun on the Farm

We went to a picnic with several of Riley's classmates that was hosted at a beautiful horse farm in Blacksburg. The tractor was definitely a highlight. 

And of course, we celebrated the most wonderful Daddy ever today!! The boys put their art skills to the test creating masterpiece pictures for Daddy, and made sure to give him extra hugs and snuggles today.

It's been a lovely taste of Summer...
