Sports and Trucks

Two of our (totally adorable) nephews had birthdays last week! Jadon turned 11, and Knox turned 3. They enjoyed little parties on their actual birthdays, but since we weren't able to be a part of those, I insisted on extending the celebration to Sunday, and brought the cake.

Jadon is an active, sports-lovin' kid who would rather be throwing a ball than anything in the world. Knox is fascinated with "big trucks" and races them through the house at breakneck speeds. So in an effort to blend their two obsessions, I of course went ahead and dug up a football field!

Complete with broken field goal post and everything. (Riley came up with the idea to use straws for the field goals!)

I was so pleased with how it turned out! It was a hit!

Happy birthday to our sweet nephews!!  It is such a joy to watch you growing and maturing into godly young men. We love you so!
