Field Trip to Farmville!

Asher is starting pre-school with our church's homeschool co-op this year, and it's pretty much the most exciting thing for him, ever. When I was asking him what kind of "friends" birthday party he wanted, nothing appealed to him until I mentioned "A School Party."

Yes! That's it!!

The invitations

When I asked him what friends he wanted to invite, he of course requested his two besties:
Cousin Ian Jude, and the lovely Miss Helen Weizenecker!

I realized after the party was underway that I forgot to take some nice pictures of all the cute little details  that went into the food table, but I did remember to snap a photo of all of us!

Asher had requested a couple of his other friends as well, but they weren't able to make it. Even with their absence, though, we were still a pretty sizable group!
The Walkers are a party wherever they go!

We ate...

PB&J sack lunches, milk, popcorn in notebook paper cones,
animal crackers, and other tasty treats!

Opened gifts...

Asher proudly sporting his new back pack!

Devoured some birthday cake...

Ruled paper cupcake liners? How cute is that??

And then went outside to enjoy some perfect water-game-weather!

The slip-n-slide was a hit!
We had a great, very low-key day celebrating our sweet four-year-old.

We love you, Asher James!
