Well, Hello There, 4th Year!

Wait, what?
We started our 4th year of medical school today?
?????????

Fourth year.
Read that: LAST YEAR.
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!

(And yes, I say "we." We often joke that I should get a "Doctor's Wife" degree at the end of this thing!)

I'm not sure how it's happened, but we've managed to make it through the three hardest years of the medical schooling process, and Riley began his first day of fourth year rotations this morning!
How amazing is this? One school year from graduation and forever more being known as
"Dr. & Mrs. C.R.L."
That sounds nice. :)
I can't put into words how proud I am of this man.
Not only did we hit this huge milestone today, but on Friday Riley also completed Step 2 of COMLEX Boards... so of course we had a party!
Boards are kind of a "big deal" process. Riley is the sort who never talks about himself, and when he does he never complains or seeks pity, so oftentimes I don't think people know what a difficult process this has been for him. The licensing exam he just survived was one of four massive tests that are required for physicians to attain their license to practice medicine. It was a nine-hour exhaustive examination of how many minute details about the human body and everything that can possibly go wrong with it and everything you might do to fix it and how those things you do to fix it work and what you need to watch out for when you're doing those things to fix those problems because you don't want to create more problems and everything else you could possibly cram into that brain of yours.
And 90% of those words you're talking about your wife can't even pronounce, let alone spell.
Exhausting.

Needless to say, we were (and still are) incredibly proud of this guy!
So, on to the last year!
The last leg of this medical school journey we blindly jumped into three years ago!
God has graciously guided us through this process, and we are most thankful!

Good job, Love!!!
XOXO
